500-452 (previously marketed as 500-09x and 500-092) is a high performance UL-rated electronics adhesive. This one-part UL flame rated paste is for applications that require superior bond strength and flame/fire resistance.

As one of our 500 Series Electronics-grade silicones, 500-452 is a neutral cure (alkoxy), UL flame rated gray paste with a good balance of tensile strength and elongation. It’s a ready-to-use, room temperature moisture cured silicone that cures to a tough, resilient elastomer with no unreacted components remaining after cure. When a non-corrosive product is required, this is an alternate unprimed adhesive solution that:

  • Delivers a more uniform bond
  • Acts like a gasket to protect against moisture and dust
  • Helps dampen vibrations

500-452 comes in paste form, skins over in less than 10 minutes, and is completely cured within 3 days. Specially formulated to retain its physical properties even during service in extreme environmental conditions, it is ideal for applications that require superior bond strength and a UL 94 V-0 rating. 500-452 offers excellent electrical insulation with arc-resistance properties.

  • Details

Novagard’s 500 series moisture-cure conformal coatings and sealants achieve primer-less adhesion to aluminum, polycarbonate, glass, and steel. The inside-out cure provides longer working times and low odor, and are free of solvents with no isocyanates. Designed for electronics and industrial applications, these materials are well suited to sealing and bonding applications to a wide variety of plastic and non-porous substrates.

Certain materials, chemicals, curing agents, and plasticizers may inhibit the cure. The most notable are organotin catalysts, amino compounds, polysulfide, and other sulfur-containing materials. Do not use in or around highly oxidative chemicals such as liquid oxygen, chlorine, or peroxides. Not recommended for surfaces that are to be painted.
